Restrict editing fails in Word 2007
I have a form with two rich text controls.
I wanted to protect the rest of the document.
i.e I want the users to only enter data inside the controls.
I used Restrict editing option to provide exception for the two controls.
Word 2007 seem to allow the
user to enter data beyond the control even when it is protected.
If the user enter End key twice from within the control they can start entering data outside the control.
I could not see the behaviour in Word 2010.
Was that a bug in 2007 that is fixed in 2010?
is there a fix available for Word 2007?

Don't use Restrict Editing with content controls.
Instead, select the entire document, and then click the Group button on the Developer ribbon and choose Group from the menu.
That will prevent editing of anything outside the content controls.
And no, this isn't documented anywhere that I know of.

- In the Search box, type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter.
- Look for the following registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions".
- On the right window pane, delete the subkey: "Machine Throttling".
- Restart your system.
