Computer freezes while playing on line games

Original title: why does my pc freeze during on line games
I use internet explorer as my browser.
Last week  I got  virus and I  took my PC back to *out of box condition *   with help from Toshibia.Now I am having this freezing which I didn't have before.I removed a Real Time player and ran a few FIX IT downlods
from Microsoft.What else can I try?
