How Can You Fix - Is there a way to get a count of how many windows are open??

Is there a way to get a count of how many windows are open?

Thank you very much for looking.  Very simply, I am having an issue where there I go to a site and run a stored procedure that opens up a web page for each record that meet a certain criteria.  The individual web page runs a process that updates that record.
Right now the total number records that should be getting updated is about 170 (so start the procedure and it should oprn 170 unique web pages in seperate browser windows).
I didn't write the procedure so I cannot say for sure how it works or why it was done that way.
The issue is that the stored procedure isn't completing on several people's pcs...it seems to be updating around 75-100 records and  then stopping.
We are all on Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit with I5 processors and most with 4 GB RAM (I have 8) running ie8 and 9.

So I have 2 questions...the first is...is there something that limits the number of windows that can be open and how can it be tweaked?  Why can one person run the procedure with no isues and most everyone else can't?  What should I be looking at to explain
their difference?
Question two is I would like to see how many windows actually open up (get a count)...I can go to the Task Managare and see the windows but it won't give me a count and  there are too many windows for the screen.  Is there  ados command that I can run from
teh command prompt?  A cheap application that I could build (would need code) or is one already created?  Is there a utility that I just don't know of?  I guess I am curious if I can help identify where the process is falling down.
ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!  Thank you again for looking

Manually editing the Windows registry

Caution: Unless you an advanced PC user, please do not edit the Windows registry manually.

Because of this risk, we highly recommend using a trusted registry cleaner such as SmartPCFixer Using a registry cleaner automates the process of finding invalid registry entries, missing file references (like the one causing your MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION error), and broken links within the registry. A backup is automatically created before each scan, with the ability to undo any changes in a single click, protecting you against the possibility of PC damage. The best part is that repairing registry errors can also dramatically improve system speed and performance.

  • Click the Start button.
  • Type "command" in the search box... DO NOT hit ENTER yet!
  • While holding CTRL-Shift on your keyboard, hit ENTER.
  • You will be prompted with a permission dialog box.
  • Click Yes.
  • A black box will open with a blinking cursor.
  • Type "regedit" and hit ENTER.
  • In the Registry Editor, select the Error 0x9C-related key (eg. Windows Operating System) you want to back up.
  • From the File menu, choose Export.
  • In the Save In list, select the folder where you want to save the Windows Operating System backup key.
  • In the File Name box, type a name for your backup file, such as "Windows Operating System Backup".
  • In the Export Range box, be sure that "Selected branch" is selected.
  • Click Save.
  • The file is then saved with a .reg file extension.
  • You now have a backup of your MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION-related registry entry.

The next steps in manually editing your registry will not be discussed in this article due to the high risk of damaging your system. If you would like to learn more about manual registry editing, please see the links below.
