Can't open Excel files attachment: files are corrupted

I have Win 7 64 bit, office 10.
 For the last 2 weeks, the excel files preview  (and only for excel) in outlook has disappeared ("this file cannot be previewed because there is no previewer installed for it") and any excel files saved from emails attachment
in outlook and gmail, appear as corrupted ("the file is corrupted and cannot be opened"

I had no problem until 2 weeks ago, I didn't made any change on my PC.

I've tried to repair Office, unregistered and re-registered excel without any luck....
Any help would be more than welcome! Thanks

We would need some more information before we proceed.
Are you able to open Excel files that are present on your system?
What are the file extensions of these attachments?
Since the issue is occurring with the browser also.
This issue is not specific to Outlook.
There must be a anti-virus scanning software which may be blocking the file.
In order to check it, restart computer in Windows Clean boot following the instructions provided in this article:

Note: Ensure you restart the computer in normal mode after troubleshooting.

Machine Throttling

• Click the Start button.
• In the Search box, type "regedit" (without quotes) and press Enter.
• Look for the following registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions".
• On the right window pane, delete the subkey: "Machine Throttling".
• Restart your system.
