Cannot get past network authentication Motorola WR850G wireless router

I really messed up and can't fix it.  I have a Motorola WR850G wireless router.  I tried to setup a simple in home network.  I'm using cable internet with a cable modem.  I've reset the modem to supposedly reset everything in it.
Press the reset key for
about 30 seconds.  I think the modem is fine now.  It show 5 bars for connection.  I set minimum security using the share security.  I think I'm reaching it.  My problem is I get a screen that says enter Network Authentication and now I'm stuck.  I've tried
every combination of words I usually use and nothing works.  I know, I know, stupid me should of written these things down.  Would someone please - please help me?  Thank you in advance so much.

I believe when you reset you also reset the username and password to the default (there are some common ones but I don't know what you are using or which apply to which) instead of whatever you were using.  It may be getting a signal, but you are no longer
authorized to access (either by the router or by the modem or possibly both).  In any event, you need to
start by contacting the ISP to have them help you reconfigure the modem and then may also need to do so for the router (Motorola) as it may have reset the router's security settings as well (assuming the ISP can't help you with that as well
as they can with certain ones they support).
