This may sound strange, but after a recent audit, the auditor cited us for not being able to show that we had verified/validated Excel.
The program.
I've contacted other agencies that do our type of government regulatory work, and they had never heard of
such a request, as if anything, we use Excel to validate other programs.
We do validate our installations, and document upgrades, etc.
But I'm looking for help in understanding how one could validate Excel as a calculating device.
Against a $1.00 Walmart calculator
