Bluetooth not working in a Lenovo Ideapad.

I have Windows 8.1 and a Lenovo Ideapad.
The Bluetooth feature has not ever worked in my laptop, please note that I bought it and upgraded to 8.1 right away, so I don't know if BT would have worked with version 8.
The devices I have tried are my BT speaker BEATS and my iPhone 5, both devices pair ok and connect for maybe a second before they disconnect, just like that, in a blink of the eye!
I have spent few hrs working with Lenovo support, they have got remotely into my PC, so I know I did the installation and troubleshooting correctly.
After their investigation, they recommended to downgrade to Windows 8 since the laptop came with that Windows
version, because the Bluetooth functionality in Windows 8.1 is not compatible with the devices that I am trying to pair.
So, I do not want to downgrade but I need a solution from Windows, a fix!!!
I also know I am using the latest drivers.
Please help!

Thank you for your reply.

The problem was solved uninstalling the Bluetooth driver and installing the new one provided in the "Windows Update", showing up in my alerts (Method 1).
Please note that I did not find any new drivers before I reported the problem here.
I am glad it worked because I did not want to uninstall Windows 8.1 and return, as advised by Lenovo to Windows 8, which was the version installed in my laptop when I bought it.

Manually editing the Windows registry

Manually editing the Windows registry to remove invalid MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION keys is not recommended unless you are PC service professional. To manually repair your Windows registry, first you need to create a backup by exporting a portion of the registry related to MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION (eg. Windows Operating System):

• Click the Start button.
• Type "command" in the search box... DO NOT hit ENTER yet!
• While holding CTRL-Shift on your keyboard, hit ENTER.
• You will be prompted with a permission dialog box.
• Click Yes.
• A black box will open with a blinking cursor.
• Type "regedit" and hit ENTER.
• In the Registry Editor, select the Error 0x9C-related key (eg. Windows Operating System) you want to back up.
• From the File menu, choose Export.
• In the Save In list, select the folder where you want to save the Windows Operating System backup key.
• In the File Name box, type a name for your backup file, such as "Windows Operating System Backup".
• In the Export Range box, be sure that "Selected branch" is selected.
• Click Save.
• The file is then saved with a .reg file extension.
• You now have a backup of your MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION-related registry entry.
