I want to know cell address (row and column number) of the cell with highest value and cell with lowest value in this 20x20 range.

Try these ARRAY formula.
The purpose of =IF(COUNT(A1:D20)=0,"",....
is that if the range is empty it will return D20, if the range won't be empty then this can be omitted as shown in the second formula for the min value
 
=IF(COUNT(A1:D20)=0,"",ADDRESS(MAX((A1:D20=MAX(A1:D20))*ROW(A1:D20)),MAX((A1:D20=MAX(A1:D20))*COLUMN(A1:D20))))
=ADDRESS(MAX((A1:D20=MIN(A1:D20))*ROW(A1:D20)),MAX((A1:D20=MIN(A1:D20))*COLUMN(A1:D20)))
This is an array formula which must be entered by pressing CTRL+Shift+Enter
and not just Enter.
If you do it correctly then Excel will put curly brackets
around the formula .
You can't type these yourself.
If you edit the formula
you must enter it again with CTRL+Shift+Enter.

I upgraded my x200 thinkpad with Momentus XT hybrid drive a month ago.
since then I get pop telling me my win 7 isn't genuine.
It is.
When I download genuine check software, it won't install.
Also, my search isn't working and win 7 updates have stopped
installing.

My original system was OEM vista that came with the laptop, bought when Win 7 hadn't shipped yet, but was promised,.
Lenovo sent me a Win 7 Home Premium (Lenovo)  upgrade disk.
which has worked fine up to the time.
 I upgraded the hard disk previously
without problems. 

I put new drive in laptop and cloned old disk via usb using Seagate's transfer software. 

I have both the old OEM key and upgrade Win 7 key.
How can I fix this.

I have successfully changed the format of the date from (mm/dd/yy) to (Wednesday, September 19, 2012) in Excel!  My goal is to do a mail merge and print out labels with dates on each label.  However, when I finish the mail merge process, I noticed that
dates on the labels in Word are in their original format (mm/dd/yy).  How do I keep the format that I need during the mail merge process?

Hey.
For some reason I can't figure this one out:
I want an array formula that returns the first value in my set that isn't equal to a value or set of values.  Basically if I have 10 unique values in a set, I have 10 formulas, each one resulting in a unique value in the set.  The value is a string.
I could write a UDF to do it, but I'm interested to see the solution with built in functions, since I'm sure it exists, and it's really frustrating me that I can't figure it out.

EDIT: In case it matters, every string is either a last name or a first name and last name such as
"Smith" or "John Smith"

ARRAY enter it and drag down to the same length as your list in column L.
It will output blanks when all the unique items ahve been extracted

Help, 
Somehow a random footnote got stuck in my Word Default doc and I can't find a way to get it out.
Every new document has a superscript 1 at the top left. 

I've changed the default several times in several ways, but I haven't discovered the way to get it out.

In recent versions of Word, opening the Normal template for editing can require quite a treasure hunt through Windows Explorer.
To bypass this, open it this way:
 
In Word, press Alt+F11; the Visual Basic Editor opens.
Press Ctrl+G to activate the Immediate window.
In that window, type

     NormalTemplate.OpenAsDocument

and press Enter.
Normal opens, but note that it may not be on top of all windows.
You can close the Visual Basic Editor.
Make the desired changes to the Normal file, and then save and close it.
If the changes you have made have not been recognized as changes
(the Undo button is not activated), press Spacebar, then Backspace to "dirty" the file, thus ensuring that the template will actually be saved.
