off I went! Formatting away.
Quick format, NTFS.

Now my drive is turning up as a RAW drive.
When I try to format again, the capacity is now 8MB and I am getting error - unable to format.

Follow these steps and check if we can format the flash drive with NTFS format.
1.
Plug in the flash drive.
2.
Click the Start button, type diskmgmt.msc in
“Start Search” box and hit enter to open “Disk Management”.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
3.
Locate the flash drive in the disk management.
4.
Right click on the flash drive, click on “Format”.

Choose file type as “NTFS” and “Allocation Unit Size” as
“Default”
6.
Uncheck the box that reads “Perform a Quick format”.
Let it perform complete format.
7.

Click on Search on Charm bar and type Troubleshooting. Click on the very first option.
A new window will open. Click View all from the left pane.
Scroll down to the bottom and click on Windows update.
Troubleshooter window for Windows update will pop up. Click on NEXT. It may ask you for administrative permission.
The troubleshooter will automatically detect problems and fix it.
Now, close this window and try download/install the app which was previously showing error.

                          After doing a Resistry Scan, I noticed a file labeled CheckVer.ocx showing as a problem. I did an online search for this file, and found out that this file is a digitally signed file from National Tax Service.   And, in the information,
I'm warned NOT to remove this file.     Apparently, National Tax Service is breaking local and Federal laws by 1) planting that file in my System,   2) using that file to monitor my Computer System. Monitoring my monetary actions, such as WHAT I purchase,
WHERE I make the purchase, and the COST of the purchased item.   This is illegal !!!!!!!!! And, it is my duty to inform other people of this illegal activity by this company.
